We spent a rainy, foggy week in Shimla and happened upon it at the busiest and most expensive time. Shimla ripped our pockets wide open but by the end of the week with all the Independence day festivities going on (like littering) it was a little more interesting. We spent most of the time resting up so Matt could recover. This is the fog off our balcony.

These rambunctious monkeys adorned our balcony every morning, I got some sneaky shots of them through the rainy window having a fight which was pretty hilarious. They would knock against the door and windows, one of them even threw himself at the window at me a couple of times.

Cops on Independence Day checking out some inflatable toys. Guns, guns everywhere. To get into the main square (below) you had to enter from either side through a metal detector, the lines were very long but very orderly, a first for our Indian queuing experience.
