One gone and two to go......

2008.03.13
"I'm heading out with bags packed."

"The doorbell is ringing and that must be my new family!"

So tonight, Daphne packed her bags and took her crate on her sleep over with her new family. She will be going to live with a very nice couple that already owns a beagle girl. Daphne is turning 1 year old in a few days so she will no lnger be called a "puppy"!

I have Borris and Champ left. Borris will probably be staying until April 1 when the family that wants him can take him on a sleepover. Champ may be gone soon too, as soon as I post him on the beagle rescue site. ( www.norcalbeagles.com )

Of course there is a steady supply of beagles that need to be rescued so our foster/rescue business is always very active.

desiree Wahoo!! Good luck, Daphne!
We're adopting out two of our foster cats tomorrow. We bottle fed these two just ten months ago, and for a while, I thought we'd keep them. I know how hard it is on the fosters to come to love these babies and then let them go.
So, good for you! Many beagles would thank you so much, if they had a way! :)

lorinalynn Yay, Daphne! It has to be a bittersweet moment when fosters leave. You're doing a wonderful thing for these guys and girls. :)

photopoet I know that you've selected wonderful homes for these beautiful dogs. It must be hard to see them leave.

Merrit That is so great to hear!!! I know how exciting, hard, sad, and wonderful getting one of your fur kids adopted feels. It's one of the hardest things to do, but you always know it's for the best.

On a side note - Her coloring is so different than any other beagle I've seen. She's very pretty!

Liselaime Do you get really attached to your foster dogs? I can't imagine taking in foster pets--I'd want to keep all of them!

LeahMarie25 That's so great for her, and yet, it must be hard for you. I know it would be for me.

TheCrazyCroat Good luck to Daphne! I didn't realize Champ was a rescue too.

How many of the beagles are yours? Have you ever rescued and ended up keeping the dog? It would be so hard not to get that attached.
