Cindy has a tooth ache

Poor Cindy is 12 years old and she has some nasty teeth. Today she wasn't feeling so weel due to one being a bit hurt. I need to get the teeth cleaned but the last pet that i took in for a teeth cleaning died under anesthesia, My daughter's cat, Indiana, it was his second time having his teeth done and he ws only 8 years old. Died..... I am afraid to get Cindy in for her teeth now.

lorinalynn Awww. Poor Cindy. And poor Indiana. Did the vet to presurgical bloodwork first? I see a lot of pets go under anesthesia, but only saw one that died under, and it was a kitten with an undiagnosed heart problem. But anesthesia is always scary and always a risk. *hug*

TheCrazyCroat Poor baby Cindy! I'm always scared when Princess goes under too. She just had her teeth done a couple months ago when she had that eye tumor removed.

Liselaime Ouch, I hope she's okay. The Bunting has always done fine with teeth cleaning, but I don't think I'd take him in if he were that old.
