Remember me telling you all that I cleaned my floors really well yesterday? Well today it was supposed to be a rest day....you know the kind, you get up be lazy, hang around in your jammies and then maybe do something positive around noon?
Not so here! Not with five beagles, a basset and a few visitors. It seems that the two foster kids were playing outside in the sun on the patio. They were loud as usual and chased each other around the backyard, in the doggie door (with a crash each time) and around through the hallway into our bedroom and then back outside through the open screen door. A real racetrack! They have a blast taking the corner in the hallways and down the hall into our bedroom taking the corner to make it out the door again.
So I am peacefully watching my shows on Animal Planet while Mike is typing on the laptop in the kitchen. Suddenly, Mike hollars out that he needs my help right now. There is blood everywhere...... I jump up run into the family room and sure enough blood splatter, drops, pawprints, chairs, walls, wooden cabinet!!! Yikes, what the heck is going on!? I check out Louie Patro'n and he is clean, nothing in his mouth, neck feet or head! Look at the paw prints again and they belong to Miss Charlotte! HUGE pawprints! All over the floor!
So I pin her down and take a look head to toe. I don't see any spot that are currently bleeding. Can't figure this one out. So I leave her in the dog bed and off I go with paper towels, sponge mop and cleaner. In the family room down the long hallway (Mopping again!) on the walls of the hallway, into our bedroom on the carpet on the bed! OMGosh what the heck happened and why didn't anyone make any noises? I finish cleaning AGAIN and go back to Miss Charlotte.
Now I take a better more thorough look and I find a small split in the very tip of Charlotte's ear. It must have been bleeding for sometime as they raced around the house and backyard and with every swing of her LONG ears the blood splattered, dropped, rubbed and dripped all over the place!!
