This was really really weird. I went over here to photograph the ice... but look closely, to the right there is a black spot in the snow. That's actually a bird that flew right past me as I shot this one.

I really wish I had brought my 70-300 mm lens for this one.

A two of these have been posted before, but I don't think it ruins the post. I hope you enjoy, I've tried editing some of them differently, even used the sepia effect on on of them.
Also the frame is white instead of the usual black, I just think it's more fitting for these bright shots, it doesn't steal as much attention.

You have captured the essence of winter- the beautiful ,quiet calm- the stillness- the colors.... just moved from upstate NY to GA (no snow here- big difference from snowbelt) beautiful
