Thanks for link to other site. I must be old-fashioned / dumb / insensitive / whatever because I don't really get what he's doing, but I think he's using the same technique as Walker Evans, a semi-concealed camera. People in cityscapes don't move me. When you get photographers like Garry Winogand making actors walk along the street pretending to be "just" passers-by, I lose the point. Anyway, it's nice to know we don't agree on everything!

Walker Evans travelled around New York's subway in the 1930's with a camera hidden under his coat to catch faces. Imagine how hard that was! I agree, faces rarely come out well in urban photography. In supposedly good pictures, I've always been a little disappointed with what I've seen. I've read that smaller cameras and unobtrusive lenses make people feel you are not so invasive, but my one attempt at shooting that kind of scene almost ended in catastrophe, so I don't know. Anyway, keep up the good work. I really enjoy it.

Merci pour ton commentaire Bluelive. J’ais fait cette photo sur le bassin d’Arcachon en France avec un reflex numérique Pentax. J’aime aussi la lomography mais je ne possède pas d’appareil de la société Lomo ni autres appareil argentique mais je compte bien en avoir un jour !
