The Lacaille 8760 Affair:: Day 31

Today was pretty eventful, but not all together inspiring.

I realized that a bunch of the clothes that I've bought the past few days are hand-wash only, so I started the day by washing the one I plan to wear for my first day tomorrow. Nick and I then decided to run out to some thrift stores down on Fairfax (which is far, so we had to drive). I didn't find ANYTHING at all, so that was a downer. After we hit up two or three, we ended up at Target and I bought some really wild things from the sales rack.

Then when I got home, I discovered that I had an email from my other employer asking for a status update for the songs that I've cataloged in the database. I felt pretty bad for neglecting it for the past week, so I finished up what I had going, which took about two hours.

Not feeling very inspired, I went to take my earrings off and looked at the monstrous mess that is my makeshift 'jewelry box'. While I can't say that this horrible disarray is inspiring per se, I decided that it would make a pretty funny photo. Some good news on that front is that my mother is going to send my ACTUAL jewelry box from home this week, so I'm very much looking forward to that.

Before dinner, I ran down to Ross which is kind of a catch-all store, and bought two more crazy looking dresses. I'm pretty sure that if I wear any of the three that I bought today, the other librarians' heads, will explode. Yee Ha.

I'm just now getting to my post at 7:30pm, and I still plan on finishing the book that I'm reading before bed. It's been a pretty good last-day-of-freedom-ever. Stay tuned for the big story tomorrow when I get home from 'The Job'.
