The Lacaille 8760 Affair:: Day 48

Well you know me and my fill the frames. It's becoming exceedingly clear that I need a macro lens right away...and of course a new camera to put it on.

This little guy is one of Nick's crazy trinkets. I have no idea where it came from but my hunch is a thrift store. It's pretty much the coolest coaster set ever created, in my humble opinion.

I didn't have time to get any other shots today, so lucky for me this leering lion with his ladden limbs called out to me, beckoning me to take his portrait.

Nick drove me to work today so that he could go to his interview at The LA Philharmonic store. He thinks it went smashingly and said that he received some really promising positive feedback. It sounds to me like an excellent job so let's all send some good vibes to the people with decision making power.

Work was busy and interesting as usual. I did a few new things and A LOT of research. I even got THREE phone calls today!! Well...they were all from the same vendor, but I thought it was all very official feeling! Speaking of which, I now have my very own book truck and there's pretty much nothing more official than that.

I lunched with a co-worker today. It's the first move I've made towards making friends and it went super well. We'll see how it all turns out, I could end up liking it here, just a tiny barable bit, after all.

That's pretty much it. I plan on spending my weekend relaxing, of course, and placing a few long over due phone calls to my friends back home.

Crappily, it's the end of daylight savings time this Sunday, which means my weekend is one hour shorter than it ought to be. Oh well.
