The Lacaille 8760 Affair:: Day 84

I know, I know. Another photo of a flower. But look at this flower!!! It's wild!
Today was a very good, if long, day. This morning feels like forever ago. Nick and I went out for breakfast at Denny's in an effort to actually go out and do something together, since we are barely getting to see one another this weekend. After breakfast we watched Gremlins and Nick drove me to yoga, and that was the extent of our time together today. I hate when he works on the weekends!!
Anyway, concerning yoga. It was really fantastic. The studio is so warm and inviting, clean and calm. Perfect place to center yourself. The woman who owns the studio, Kelly, is the instructor for the introductory four class series that I signed up for. I got such a great feel for her, her nature is absolutely radiant. I cannot wait to go back again next Saturday. I think that after this intro is over that I'll probably go once or twice during the week and maybe one day on the weekend as well. Today's impression was just that good.
Although Nick drove me down, I opted to walk home. The studio is a little over a mile and a half away, and while that is nothing on a NORMAL day, today was approximately 95 degrees fahrenheit of dry heat and intense sun from a cloudless sky. Lovely and deadly at the same time. By the time I got home I was dying of thirst and drank two glasses of ice water so fast that I gave myself a brain freeze!
This flower photo is fruit from the foot path home. The houses on the street that I took are all incredibly grand with their fancy flora landscapes. I'm tempted to envy these people with their money to own such things, but then I step back and say hey, I get to enjoy it for free, on you!
Other than that, had a great conversation with my best girl from back home, and now I sit here and eagerly await the return of my beau.

Awesome flower!!!...its crazy and beautiful and outrageous! It screams to be photographed and such a lovely job you did of spotting it AND snapping it up. Ill need to hear more about your yoga endevours! WE have yoga classes at my gym but Im yet to attend a class. Im not sure whats stopping me but perhaps hearing about your positive experience will give me a little nudge. Sorry to hear about the lack of time you and Nick are having together :( I cant image how hard it must be for you guys to adjust to your new shcedules, but i know youll make it work. Ok im off to check on my sunday roast and then the rest of your entries..ive been total slack ass with PB and a bad bad friend.. :( xo

wow. what an outstanding flower! From the angle that you shot it, it seems to have so many layers. Really very cool, and I do, indeed, see that fat bumblebee. It's kind of like the flower's accessory. Glad the yoga is going well. I actually was asked by a school friend to join her in her yoga class on Friday. I should have gone. I have a normal cardio routine, but I think you are right...yoga could give me my mojo back. :) Thanks for all the encouragement.

I love these flowers, my parents have them growing up next to their deck... I think they look like tiny dancers when you look at them from the side!
