Today was World Book and Copyright Day. I of course never KNEW this, but my buddy
Ronin was kind enough to let us all in on the action! So in honor of this fantastic day, that promotes reading and education, here are a few quick snaps.
Be it a leagal treatise, a biography on your favorite composer or just a great fiction, the important thing is that we all pick up a book once in a while and keep our minds fresh and growing! I read every chance I get!
In other news, it is also Saint George Day. Since Nick's real name is George, it was his Name Day!! Although I had found this out from Ronin's post about World Book Day (the two are related), I didn't realize that it was an important traditional holiday in Greece! When I got to work I had an email waiting for me from Crowe (Nick's step-mother) telling me how Yaya always cooks Papa a nice big meal in honor of his Name Day (his name being George as well). I never knew about this tradition, but I guess it's cause for celebration, more so than even your birthday!
I decided to be sneaky and have my own little celebration for Nick. I took off from work a little early and headed home to make him a new Mix CD! In case you didn't catch that whole back story from Valentine's Day...it's something that we do for eachother. When he came home from work, I had the house all cleaned up with a card and a CD, waiting for him.
He was so surprised! After he settled in I made dinner and everything. A true cause if I'm the one that's cooking! A rare sight indeed!
Anyway, we had an excellent evening. I hope that you all did too!

(p.s. i'm posting this a day late because Photoblog was DOWN last night when I went to post! i had to get up at 5am to go into work early, so i didn't have time to fuss with it...so here it is!)
