The Lacaille 8760 Affair: Day 124

2008.05.22

Today I had Microsoft Access Level 2 downtown. I love going down there for the simple fact that the building in flanked by DSW (giant shoe store) and Noah's New York Bagels, which are fast becoming my two favorite places to be ever (other than h&m).

As an homage to the hilarious sandwich artist who served up this beautiful culinary delight, I present to you a photograph of The Perfect Sandwich: rosemary and olive oil bagel, sun dried tomato cream cheese, extra layers of provolone cheese and fresh tomatoes, a touch of onion and a healthy bit of bean sprouts. I have to tell you, I enjoyed every last morsel of this bad boy. mmm.

I went back to class (not before taking a detour to DSW to check out the sales) with a full belly and a smile. I'm feeling much better today and my ability to eat a full meal and not want to die after was certainly a testament to that!

So it's safe to say my day was a good one. Only downfall was that I had to walk the two miles uphill back to campus in the rain. Lame.

In other news, let the suspence be, no longer. In t-minus 13 days (really more like 12 and change) I will be embarking on a new fantastic voyage. Unfortunately, Nick will not be joining me for this surely exciting (mis)adventure, but my company should prove totally worthy.

My friend from back home has decided that she is going to move to Seattle/Tacoma. In an effort to commend her courage, encourage the commencing of the journey, and in the shared spirit of road trip adulation; I have agreed to drive with her from Syracuse, New York to Tacoma, Washington (and then up to Seattle to get me on a plane back home to LA).

The plan is that I'll leave here for Syracuse the night of the 4th, get in, say hey to the folks for .5 seconds, and then get in the car for a leisurely 2800 mile trek in 3.5 days.

By leisurely of course I mean driving like maniacs without stopping from Thursday to Sunday. We plan on seeing some serious sites and sights along the way, in one hell of a whirlwind adventure. We're young and crazy and that's just the way we do!

I'm totally excited and can't wait to get on the open road with some music and conversation. Flying J shower stalls, here we come!

Now, if I could just get this darn camera thing down, I'd be set to go!

That's all I've got for you folks tonight.

Until tomorrow!

Cheers Mates.

TheNicky Yea this is my first actual camera besided your dinky P&S haha.
So im really trying to learn how to use it. In a way its frustrating becuase my camera has so many features and im really limited on my knowledge with it. So the curve of learning begins for me.
