The Lacaille 8760 Affair:: Day 159

I'm back in action! I'm posting this like...10 or 11 days after the fact, so bear with me!
The flight here totally sucked. We ended up having to rush to an earlier flight, as our scheduled flight was late and it would've made us miss the connection to Syracuse. We BARELY made it there on time and we didn't get to sit with each other. It wouldn't have been so horrible if the turbulence wasn't so incredibly bad. I love to fly, but I really thought that we were going to die...it was THAT bad.
Anyway, we got to Syraucse safe and sound, if slightly preturbed. The rest of the day was kind of a blur as we didn't stop moving until our heads hit the pillow at a very early 11:30 pm.
From the airport we had to pick up my rental car, which of course did NOT go smoothly. It was a skuzzy mess inside and smelled like wet dog with a touch of ASS thrown in for good measure. My father duked it out with "The Manager" aka, some skanky chick with a small olfactory and no taste or standards.
After we spoke our minds and decided to take the car despite it's gnarley nature, I drove Nick over to his parents' house and dropped him off so that I could get en route to my makeup appointment for the wedding. This actually went really well and if you stood at just the right distance I actually looked like a girl. Pretty amazing.
After, my mother quick threw some curls in my hair, we made a mad dash home and threw our clothes on, picked up Nick, wrangled up my brother and his lady friend, and high-tailed it to the wedding, all by 4pm. Of course, we were early.
The ceremony was beautiful and it was downright WRONG how beautiful these two people looked together. They're pretty much the most photogenic couple ever. They should be on magazines. During the "intermission" we drove back to the house, picked up our over night bags and reconviened at the reception around 7pm. Mom and dad had paid for a fancy pants hotel room for each of us (them, my bro and his gf, and nick & me), it was soooo good. That bed had my name written all over it as soon as I walked in the door, seeing how I at this point, haven't slept in nearly 40 hours. Either way, we walked over to Justin's Grill, and let the party begin.
Although the reception was lots of fun and I enjoyed seeing everyone laughing, dancing and happy, Nick and I cut out at 11:30 to crash. I think everyone else didn't get in until 2ish, but we just couldn't make it that long.
Over all it was a lovely welcome home to see so many familiar faces all in one place, in one day. I'm so happy for Tommy & Mandi, and I know that they are going to lead such an amazing life together.

Wow, these photos look so professional, Bree. The couple does look like the need to be in a Bridal magazine:) My favorites are 17, 23 and 24. The cake is so unique and I'm saving it:)

Oh my god... the thought of such bad turbulence like that terrifies me... especially seeing as though you were separated from each other on the plane too! :/ Your outfit (and make-up!) looks amazing - you pulled it off incredibly well, considering you hadn't slept for 40 hours! :P

Such gorgeous photos! What a stunning church - I love all the stained glass. That red dress looks wonderful on you! I remember when you purchased it, and I knew it would look great. I'm glad you had such a good time. My wish for you and Nick is a nice, relaxing getaway where you can move slooooowly. No more rushing around! :) It's great to have you back!

The wedding shots are amazing! Great job. My one complaint...I wanted a head on shot of you in YOUR dress!! I bet you looked hot! I remember when you got it. :)
