Today was our last day in the greater Syracuse area. We decided to go out in style by hitting of the Sunday Morning Syracuse Flea Market. It of course, was creepy and amazing, as always.
We really just love looking through other people's old junk. Take these cameras for instance, some dude just collecting a bunch of busted old cameras, hoping the one day he can sell them for an 8th of what they were originally worth. While I'm too cheap to actually buy anything (generally) the pictures that you can get in places like these are priceless!
I did buy one thing on this trip however, a $.75 wooden postcard, signed, stamped and delivered, from the 50's with the speak no/hear no/see no evil monkies on it. How could I pass that up!? *sigh*
Anyway, our flight was scheduled to leave at 1pm, so we had Nick's parents drop us at the market and then my parents picked us up and took us to the airport.
As is all of my recent experience with air travel, our flight was running late. This time however, it all worked out and while we had to RUN Home Alone style through the terminal to catch our connection in Newark, we did indeed catch it. We happily sat next to each other, with maybe even a touch of sleep, on the plane ride back to Los Angeles. We even watched the dumb ass movie that was playing,
Drillbit Taylor.
If you have any sense, you will not watch this movie...however, if you are forced, you'll probably laugh at the time, and then afterwards shun yourself for finding it entertaining...not unlike myself.
Once home, we hopped on the bus to Union Station, hopped on the metro, and headed home to good ole' Hollywood.
It was a great thing to see both of my families. It was a great thing to see all of our friends.
And it was a great thing to sleep on my own pillow in my own bed once again.
I miss them all already, so obviously they all need to move to California, asap.
Cheers.
