Oregon Coast and Game Park

2008.07.24
My mom, husband and I decided to drive south along the Oregon Coast for a change. We started off with lunch in Reedsport.

The (less than impressive) Umpqua lighthouse.

Lake near the coast.

Thimbleberries. We only found three ripe ones and ate them. We didn't know what theyw ere at the time, but they looked so much like raspberries, we figured they're fine.

North Bend Bridge

Ospreys?

We got to pet two baby leopards!!

Lynx

Gross monkey with a perm.

Baby goat

White baby skunk.

This poor sweet baby opossum was rejected by most visitors, who thought he was "gross", and wouldn't pet/hold him. He was soft and adorable though, and slept most of the time I was holding him.

Baby Wallaby

The famous cross eyed possum. It yawned right in my face with its enormous mouth.

Rob feeds a baby leopard.

The white trash 16 year old parents of this 2 year old boy kept letting him stick his hands into the fox cage (and other cages too), while the father kept shaking bags of chips at every cage to lure the animals over and taunt them.

"We hope you are enjoying Bandon" ... ?
