Memories - My Summer Garden 2009

2009.06.10
Last spring Mark and I went to Mexico, we bought a ceramic bird bath and a large ceramic fish for the pond.

The flowers in front of the pond were just babies when I photographed them. I grew them from seedlings in the house in the winter.

This is a Mexican shell flower. My favorite things about this flower is how delicate it is and its freckle like complexion.

The last couple of years there has been a problem with japanese beetles, so some of my flowers have their markings on them.

This summer I started two rose bushes.

A simple life update:

I miss viewing everyone's photoblogs and the friendships I made on this blog. I have been keeping very busy since I moved back to New York.

In the spring I graduated with my Masters in Arts, and then in the summer I started a Ph.D. program in Educational Leadership. I am hoping to complete my degree by 2013.

For those of you who remember my son, David, he graduated last month on October 3 from AMDA- American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan. He is still anticipating working on Broadway someday, but in the meantime, he has started a full-time job with Apple computers in Manhattan. I am very pleased about with his ambitions.

I have lots of pictures that I took this summer that I intend to post through the winter, as I work on my doctorate.

Also, for my thesis for my Masters' I wrote a mini memoir. I thought that I would make it available to all of you to read. I hope to add more to it later, and then have it published.

I hope you are all doing well and that you have a great Thanksgiving!
