A picture of the restaurant that I ate lunch in that day. It is called "Casa Rio". They have wonderful Mexican food. It is the oldest restaurant in San Antonio, TX. I took the picture from the river taxi.

I stepped on the Amtrak train on November 1, 2010 to go to Anaheim, CA for a colloquium for Capella University for my PhD. I needed to get out and about for a while. So, I am taking a tour on the Amtrak trains through the country. I have 18 stops total. I have already seen California, San Antonio TX-The Alamo, the Tower of Americas, and the Riverwalk. Then I went to Chicago, IL. and went up into the formerly known Sears Tower, which is now Willis Tower. I even went out on the Skydeck.
I am arriving in Flagstaff in 2 hours, for 3 nights, so I can see the Grand Canyon. Then I will be off to Portland, OR to see the city. After there I go to Seattle to see the Space Needle.
Then down to Colorado, where I will pick up a car rental for 10 days so I can see Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota~ Mount Rushmore, then on to Nebraska to visit a friend.
At the end of the 10 days I will be returning my car to Denver and get back on my train. Go to Chicago for a night and then on to Syracuse, NY. Celebrate my 22nd wedding anniversary. Then go to Maine. I will end my trip on December 15.
wow..I cant wait to see the shots from the trip... armchair travelling! I love the ariel view of the torch, and the colours in the restaurant image are very vibrant
