canyoning is my thing :)

This was in the island of Madeira (Portugal), going to Curral das Freiras... and this rappel rope had to take us down 80 meters in this particular place.

All the other photos are in continental Portugal... in the most beautiful canyon I've seen!

this is the most beautiful place I've been... it's a huge cilinder carved in rock and at the bottom you have that round natural swimming pool... where you can float and look up!
And, from down there, when the other people start going down the rope - at the very top - they look so small... like astronauts in some distant planet! |

Amazingly beautiful places and amazingly envy I have, someday I should start doing these kind of sports, which probably are less dangerous than dodging cars in mexico city jajajajaja. If you ever come to mexico there is a place in the state of San Luis Potosí, called El Sotano de las Golondrinas. Since I don´t do any rappel, I haven´t gone down, but it is an amazing place.
