In my previous post I showed you the Palácio de Cristal, version 2 - the bubble! Now we start with the sorrounding gardens and the first thing you might find is the... CONCHA ACÚSTICA (acoustic shell)

The name suggests its shape (shell) and purpose (live concerts)
|
I learned with Rozária S attention to details :)

These teenagers saw me and immediately went on stage and performed the abridged version of THE LUSÍADAS by LUÍS DE CAMÕES in 10 long... seconds
|
As you see, the Concha doesn't fit with the style of the bubble... so it's time to show you how the original Palácio de Cristal looked like... (thanks Texazinha for sending me this one, as well as your historical notes on the comment to my previous post)

Yes, I crossed the river DOURO from PORTO to the other side, GAIA, but still keeping track of the bubble just for you :)

And now you know the reason why... PeteTheWop was afraid of the alien probes on the first 2 photos of the previous post... but those were just vegetable replicas... THIS IS THE REAL THING :(( ... DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT ENLARGE THIS ONE!!!

But that's no way to end this post... so let's go back to the bubble and notice how that nice innocent branch links it to the cloud above... (alien nastiness)

I really enjoy the way you show things in context, and how the context shifts! The shell looks a little small.....I'm wondering what kind of concerts they do there: Maybe chamber music?
