And this might be a good opportunity to stop and think about this photoblog site...

- what we expect from it...

- what we can do for it!

In the past weeks we've had news from fellow bloggers announcing they were going to leave us... some did, some didn't... and some did and then came back! :)

There is a perfectly good reason to stop posting: when you are too busy either professionally (and your work starts getting delayed) or in your private life.

But I've heard about and read about other reasons that were quite surprising and/or unpleasant... in some cases we lost very interesting fellow bloggers and in other cases they came back but they were never the same as before! :(

I think that what we can do is check our friends and acquaintances (that we believe are good photographers) and tell them about Photoblog and convince them to join us!

I have checked other blog sites recently (which is something you all should do every now and then) and even created blogs there: it's the best way to know if Photoblog is good or not...

And I believe it is very good, because some of those blogsites/platforms are not so user-friendly as ours. Photoblog is indeed well presented, clear and easy to use!

The Michaels have been doing an outstanding job... like the recent possibility of subscribing to some blogs (which is great for those that don't post everyday, or on a regular basis).

So now it's up to us:

- if technically the blogsite is good then the only distinctive feature will be the people!

And we must do everything in our power to keep the good bloggers of this site!

Hello! I don't understand 2 things 1) why are you(it is you?)on the cover of that magazine? 2) why this blog is about the blog? Do you actually work on Photoblog? 3) If photoblog becomes too famous, wont it become a "horrible Myspace" ? 4) What is the advantage in many people joining? except creating more work for the servers and the delightful persons who give their free time looking after photoblog? i am just wondering, thank you for sharing that blog, it was very interesting. I actually left the blog for a couple of months because summer is too short to spend time on the computer. In the end I returned because I was drawn by some of the photographers who had captured my heart with their photos. I learn a lot about my own photography when I look other people's work. Since I joined Photoblog in June, I have seen the most incredible photos, and at the same time communicated with all of you fantastic people around the world. Origane :) thank you for your visit! 1) that pic was taken at Universal Studios in L. A.... they have a portrait studio where you choose first which magazine cover you want around the face... :) to celebrate my 100th post, it was either that or... some serious fireworks but I had done the firework thing to celebrate my post number... one! :) 2) I thought that, instead of posting a selection of photos... it might be a useful change to think and write abour our photoblog... and we don´t have to work at photoblog to care about it! 3) I don't know much about myspace, never used it... but i believe there are different ways of growing... they don't have to turn for the worse in every instance. 4) i'm sure that the Michaels, or anyone doing a project, want Photoblog to be successful... and not just a private club for a few lucky ones!
