Low light is cool; indeed I get tired of the same situations all the time... sunset, sunrise, blah blah so it's great to explore the limits of light!

number 2 is awesome: each window has a different light so we get a notion os what's goin'on all over the building... and then there is: 13 - different levels 15 - the metal mirrors with the same shape of the building 27 - hot 31 - the moon, there 34 - three colors 40 - great composition I'm tired but it was absolutely rewarding!!

Thank you, thank you! :) Another thing that I must say, from time to time, is that there is no photoshop in my blog, no post-production or nothing of the sort... what you see is what i got there in location! Otherwise these photos might look like just another "sitting and keyboarding exercise"! I've nothing against that and i truly enjoy viewing all the digital editing challenges in this blogsite! :) I just think sometimes it's necessary to clear things out which is what I am doing here! :)

For example: photos 11, 15, 16 18, 25 and 40 might look like tests of the selective coloring technique... but they are just plain and straight shooting! The lights were there!

I think I've spent the last half-hour looking at these shots. I find them beautiful and very intriguing, and have never seen anything like them before. Is it the low light that makes so many of them look so other-worldly, almost verging on fantasy? And is it that light that seems to ...reduce?....things to their elemental shapes and make them look abstract? Whatever, they are truly amazing.

Carley! :) I read this soon after you sent it... but i just couldn't reply! This is just the best comment ever!! The idea that someone might really take time to look at my photos is just wonderful and makes me feel even more responsible about showing good work! I was indeed excited with this "clubbing" series because - as I mentioned in other comments above - there is absolutely no post-production whatsoever. Therefore, I must share the credits, first with the people who made Casa da Música and also the special lighting for those "clubbing" evenings (check www.casadamusica.com) and then with the camera I took then and that I've been using for my "absence of L" category of photo experiments... you push its ISO capabilities to the limit, risk some blurring... but that sometimes ads some excitement too! Thank you, thank you! :)
