And then the pieces just fall off when they're ready- Out with the old, in with the New!!
ahem, just to clarify, this shedding process didn't happen in a day, but he's finally at the end so i posted all the pictures together (it takes about a week to shed)

Ok, i'm changing Gama's name to Gamma! Because Mirna made a little mistake. Gama doesn't mean "love" in the Philippines (as she had originally thought), but i do like the sound of it- mainly why i chose it- so i'm just switching it to Gamma!
Okay, so I noticed some dry skin around Gamma's toe. It's binding it like a rubber band and i've been instructed by the Green Iguana Society to try and loosen that skin by giving him a warm bath- very common process used to help aid the shedding but the thing is, i haven't held Gamma since the first day he arrived. And that was only to move him from his box to the enclosure.
It's not that I don't want to, because i very much do... it's just that i want to move a little slower in finally handling him. I finally got around to being able to touch his leg without him freaking out and running all over the cage. I just don't want to leap from touching to lifting and prodding and completely taking him from his comfort zone.
Then again, i don't want him losing his toe because i failed to help him get circulation... gosh iguanas are so difficult! Well, i knew they were so it's not new. Cross your fingers and wish me luck to see that everything goes well (for him- i'm totally ready to hold the lil guy)!!
yiiiikes! scawy. be careful with the footsie!
i figured that because i shan't be uploading any more photos for... quite a while... i shan't stop commenting!! because everyone loves comments.
ps i didn't know that there was a green iguana society. crazy
