Love between the indiecita, Ix Ana, and Don Horacio is considered a sin by the Spanish custom because they have born children out of wedlock
Ix Ana does not understand that because she doesn't see love as a sin. Don Horacio lets her know he is to wed another to please his father- the only thing he can do for her is send money every week |
Don Horacio has sinned, he repents to the padre
Guilt is gone, but he has betrayed Ix Ana, who goes mad and gets rid of their children so she may have a chance to marry Don Horacio if others see she is not a "sinful" woman He is angry that she drowned their children- he shuns her |
Ix Ana, shocked and depressed, runs back to find her children who have long been drowned in the river- she is exhausted and hits her head on a rock and dies
her brother has waited for Don Horacio to avenge what Horacio has done to his family |
sword fighting action scene- my favorite quote- Don Horacio: "I must warn you that I have been trained by expert swordsmen. You do not even know how to hold a sword!"

the fight is over-
but Don Horacio is distracted at last by the haunting image of Ix Ana who cries and wails His back vulnerable, he is stabbed- Don Horacio is dead. |

I miss theater and i know it's going to be a long shot before i get in anything involving acting, a script, and a large cast any time in the future...
but i'm good.
