Cold, freezing feet woke me. I put socks on. It was 3 am. As i walked down the hall, i couldn't stay upright. I checked my temp again. "102.9" it read. This wasn't working. Mom took me to a doctor. Pills prescribed that would help.
Took them.
Still had to keep my temps in check. I was not being relieved of any of my fever fears. I'd already been taking antibiotics and fever reducers every 6 hours- on the dot. Now more meds that wouldn't help...
I wept. I began to imagine worst cast scenarios like going blind, dropping out of school, even death. I prayed real hard.
It seems so extreme for only a course of 3 days, but after watching a few episodes of Mystery Diagnosis and having fever delusions, things can get as extreme as your little mind wants it!
There was only one thing we hadn't tried.
Regular fever medication. The kind off the shelves. Mom read the box. "Try one for now."
Nyquil let me sleep the whole night...

Dayquil keeps me moving. I still have the woozy dizziness and i'm still a little slow, but i have my confidence back and the fever is gone. Thank you GOD!
A long week (or so it seemed) is now something i can put behind.


Unfortunately... nobody took care of Gamma while i was feverish.... eep!
