Flat Stanley!!

"Hi! I'm Flat Stanley from Iowa! I'm here visiting Texas in a little town on the border of Mexico! It sure is interesting what kinds of things are around here!"

"Right now we're at a Flea Market. Over here they call it a pulga and they gather nice and early to start selling all kinds of things~"

"There's fresh mangos and guayabas and limes and hot peppers they call chiles."

"I watched them prepare nice steaming corn by cutting it off the cob!"

"They have interesting snacks around here, like chicharrones. They also sell fresh squeezed fruit drinks called aguas frescas!"

You know, Flat Stanley?
Yeah ok, i didn't know either. I saw it on King of the Hill before and i thought it was a joke, but it's real!
Our little cousin Elizabeth (tio Alberto and tia Nena's daughter) sent Flat Stanley to Mirna.
She took some pictures and wrote the whole journal (because when you recieve a Flat Stanley you have to write and take pictures of him and where he's at) but she hasn't sent him back. We got him in the mail from Iowa and I think she'd better get him back to Iowa before the school year is over! lol
On a completely different note:
Today was OUR presentation of Chlorine ('member how i was so worried that we couldn't compare to the Gold presentation?) well, it went really well. At the end of our presentation, we had a quiz but no ordinary quiz, a racing quiz! I put little questions inside some balloons they would have to pop and we had split the class into 2 teams from the beginning of the presentation and they got pretty competative! It started slow, but they began rushing as soon as they realized that the other team was trying to beat them. In the end, the blue team won!! As for what we gave out? they were little Ozarka bottles (supposedly because they are Chlorine free- being Natural Spring Water and all) and the winning team got 4 AirHeads candy each (because Chlorine is a gas and you don't want THAT air in your head ;D). It turned out pretty great- i'm so glad its over now... =)
