Hey guys... what's happening?

Another beautiful Australian bird. This one's a Galah, my Mum's favourite bird. This one's for you, Mum.

Galahs are a funny bird, always looking perplexed, and turning up after the excitement's over. "Guys...guys....hey guys...what's happening?". You often see them hanging upside down off power lines.

The Lorikeet from a few days ago is the bully boy, shoving off all comers. If there's a problem with feeding birds, it's that it can artificially inflate the population of ruffians like these, and chase out more timid species.

bunyip Ruffians being th eLorikeets of course... not the Pink&Grey's which are a magnificent, delightful, intelligent and fabulously friendly bird!

jetjackson I have been trying to get some good pics of Galahs and Cockies, that roost in a tree behind our place,,,,,,,but we haven't had much good afternoon sun to capture them,,,,,yet. There are maybe a dozen or more of each. The antics of the Galahs, are alway fabulous to watch.!

CBear Galahs are truely beautiful looking, and so lovely, but they really are the losers of bird-kind. Poor things. Fantastic shot. XOXO
