Look who was there when we came back from holiday in the garden...This beautiful fox!
He came back each day for maybe 2 or 3 days, and was going out at night. He had made a little nest in the fallen leaves; the last day I saw him, the weatehr was all horrible and it was raining, and he was still there, even though the drops of water were falling on him from the leaves of the plant. That evening, after he went, I felt so happy with him and close to him that I deposited, near his bed, an egg. And the next day, the egg was still there but he wasn't around. The next day, his bed had been rummaged and the eggs had gone.
We never saw him again. I fear maybe I put him off by placing something near his bed... I was sad to see he was gone.
This fox had been a friend for a few days, like a connection to the Earth mother which I hadn't been able to connect with back at my family's. It was like saying "where ever you go, even if it looks like nobody s there, konw that we are there..." and this fox was so gentle. And so kind to visit the garden and guard it during the day.
Now, at least, I have the squirrel friend that comes back from time to time. But no more fox...
