The Blue House

Explanation about why all the cops in a photo a few down...

I watch someone watching the police doing nothing outside Starbucks.

The police and guards are everywhere in and around the Blue House these days, to protect Korean President Myong Bok Lee from the angry demonstrators who disagree with his policies, specifically economic decisions, and ending the suspension on beef imports from the U.S. They all smiled at me warmly, the younger ones flirtatiously.

Like a sad movie scene.

Bongwheungung Palce, or something.

Attention. I thought he looked very serious and only realized later that they all looked serious and exactly the same because they were wearing masks.

Shelter from the sun.

In ceremony, guards in mask.

Entrance doors to the palace.

Side View.

After the ceremony.

A good day to sit.

I love the floppy Asian trees and small bump "mountains"

Koi fish

They are actually dressed for tourist photos at the palace.

A lazy day.

On Thursday of this week, while wandering in Seoul after applying for a tourist VISA at the Vitenamese Embassy, I happened upon a temple, a palace, old government headquarters, a fashion shoot, an owl museum, an art gallery, and the President Myong Bak Lee's Blue House (like the white house but the Korean version)...
Here are my allotted 30 photos from the day.
