June 4: Shadow of a Doubt

I doubted I could ride a tandem bike. Here is the shadow of my doubt....

I read in my TomTom manual that 15% of marriages end in the car. I would like to suggest that 25% of marriages would end on a tandem bike, especially when the guy in charge puts on the brakes while coasting downhill, changes gears hapharzardly while going uphill, and attempts suicidal U-turns that slam the couple into a brick wall.

(Fortunately I can report that our marriage survived all of these things).

Today I am thankful for having the courage to try something new, no matter how much it threatened my marriage and my life.
