If life gives you grapefruit, make sure they're not oranges
Had one of those phone calls today where I had to sit down to absorb the news.
Life was happily treadling along in one direction and wooshka, it's now taking a whole new direction. Where it was going west, it's now going east. Where I thought I had an orange tree, turns out it's a grapefruit tree. Where it was looking secure, God/dess laughed and now it's "anything goes".
Today I am thankful God/dess has a sense of humour.
