July 30: A Digging We Will Go

Gavstar insists on taking me with him on some of his jobs to be his sidekick. Like today -- he needed some help with a plumbing pre-lay on a job in Augusta.

Now, I'm not sure why he wants me along because
a) I'm pretty weak,
b) I whinge a lot, and
c) I'm certain he'd get a lot more done if he didn't have to worry about me.

But on the other hand, I think he takes me along:
a) for the company, and
b) so he's not the only one getting soaked and chilled through

Either way, I'm a pretty lucky Trady's Assistant -- I get to put my tools down whenever I'm tired and I still get fed;-)

Today I am thankful for the new learning opportunities that present themselves to me every day.
