August 1: Happy Birthday Horses

Had to laugh when I saw Gavstar handling his daughter's horse. I've never seen him with a horse even though we have half-a-dozen of them agisted at the farm.

What a timely occasion too -- August 1 is the traditional day that is considered to be the birthday of all horses, especially for the racing industry. I suggested that Gavstar give this horse a smooch to celebrate but he wouldn't be in it.

Had to take a photo nonetheless - not only is this the first time I've seen him handling a horse, this is probably the last time I'll ever see it, too!

Today I am thankful the tempremental bastard didn't stomp on my Gavstar.
