Nov 3: High as a Kite

Gavstar and I went for a walk yesterday evening (I just LOVE daylight savings!!!) and came across some pretty funky dudes flying their kites in a tight formation.

The first thing I said was, "where's Boy Wonderful? I usually only see out-of-the-ordinary stuff when I'm walking with him!"

The second thing I said was, "wow" (over and over again).

Turns out the kite-flyers are part of the Red Bull Air Race, and we got to see plenty more of them in action today.

They travel the world with their kite show. (Imagine telling Nana "yeah, I fly kites for a living"... that would be like saying "I ran away with the circus")

Today I am thankful that people are brave enough to live their dream (regardless of what Nana might think)
