Dec 17: Animals -- caged and otherwise

Once again City Pass peeved us off -- we finally found our way to the San Diego wildlife and were hit with hidden charges not mentioned on the City Pass tickets. Lesson? DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL LIKE A TOURIST!

Anyhoo, the wildlife park was interesting, but by this stage we were all over tourist attractions, queues, over-pricing and City Pass. So we stayed only long enough to do a tour of the park and to get the lion's attention.

Then it was on the road to Las Vegas...

We met up with Gavstar's brother and his family. SIL (sister-in-law) is a nurse, and warned me not to climb too many stairs as it might rupture my synthesis pubis... Boy Wonderful then insisted on escorting me to the restrooms on the second floor, and again up three stairs upon leaving Caesar's Palace, and again when we crossed the street to return to the hotel (and that set of stairs were escalators!)

Today I am thankful that Gavstar isn't phased by his captivating travelling companions. I'm also thankful that I have a son who is so concerned about his mother's "synthetic pubis" (as he called it -- which is a mile better than Gavstar's effort, "prosthetic labia", mind you!) that he insists on treating me with a world of care.
