Feb 26: She's THIS BIG

I ventured outside my "hotel room" (what I've come to call my hospital room!) for the first time today. One of the midwives decided it was high time for baby to hang out with the chicks in the nursery while I took a soak in a salt bath.

I found baby happily ensconsed in the middle of a gossip session when I returned to pick her up, with a note in her crib that read "My mum is in the bath with a good book and a cuppa."

The time out was good for both of us -- after her feed baby was alert and happy to "pose" for some photos next to a gerbera roughly the same size as her.

Today I am thankful for midwives!
