March 9: Baby Bait

Went to the "Women's Showcase" expo today for a bit of a squiz, and to give the Little Star some practice with outings.

Gavstar noticed the Nova radio crew giving stuff away outside the venue so went over to see what he could score. Not happy with the Mars Bar they gave him, he asked them instead for a t-shirt.

"You have to work here for one of those," they said.

Normally Gavstar can cope well with being told "no", but something about the t-shirt enticed him to get the baby and use her as bait. He wheeled her back to the promotions crew and said, "I've brought a cute baby -- can she have a t-shirt?"

Today I am thankful I didn't sign up to be a part of this year's Women's Expo -- it's much more relaxing being on the visitor side of the fence ;-)
