After some good rain over the last few days, I was able to see where the boggy bits are going to be in the new lawned area. So this morning I decided to level it out a bit, before the kikuyu grass kicks in.
This is when I worked out some ways to spot a city girl doing the gardening:
1. She wears a pretty pink tracksuit
2. She wears clean white sneakers
3. She uses a tool that she doesn't even know the name of
4. She expects the dog to help out - after all, it can't be that hard!
5. She thinks that swishing the mysterious tool is actually doing some good
Today I am thankful for the chance to do some gardening. I've only two days left of my babymoon (heading back to Perth on Sunday) - getting outside helped cheer me up somewhat.

My mum used to garden wearing Fletcher Jones'. The pink trackies are very stylish.
Funny, loved the story. By the way, I like to garden wearing those old cotton gloves 'ladies' used to wear on evenings out in the 60's, think I got that from my mother. I wear them cycling too!
