May 9: Finally Getting it Together!

Wow, it has taken us over a year, but today the team RyReveLeiper GOT IT TOGETHER! We actually got to the farm for the weekend in good time, well fed, and happy travellers.

I started preparations for our departure to the farm at noon, with a lasagne to take with us for in-car catering. By 3.30pm Boy Wonderful was home, in the shower, bag packed and ready to GO. By the same time I'd finished feeding the baby, and Gavstar had finished packing the car.

By 3.44 we'd coaxed Blaze into his new ute. LUCKY he decided it was pretty good, especially when BW opened the window between the cabin and the tray to say hello.

By 7.15pm we arrived at the Club in plenty of time for tea (although, after the individual serves of lasagne in the car we didn't really need anything else). Gavstar and BW even had time to teach the Little Star some finer points in pool.

And, we got home to the farm in time for some chill-out time with the family and a bag of lollies for some timeless games with the "teeth" lollies.

Today I am thankful that with enough training, willpower and gaffa tape, it IS possible to teach not-so-old dogs new tricks.
