May 20: Shopping Training

It is my belief that my role as a parent is to prepare my son for real life - ie, to be self-reliant and confident in the real world once he leaves home. (Or if we leave home first, however it pans out, he he).

So, today he learned that a simple task like grocery shopping for tonight's dinner can be made enormously difficult with a baby in tow. All things considered, he actually coped very well. Not only did he buy all the necessary ingredients for a prawn risotto, he cooked the BEST RISOTTO EVER!

Today I am soooo proud of my BW. I am beyond grateful that he chose me to be his mother, and that (despite being a teenager) he invites me to be an active part of his journey still.
