June 22 - 28

2008.06.22
June 22: Gavstar and I took a trip to an expo featuring home products and services. I likened the experience to a "horse smelling home -- once he's smelt home he'll bolt." Now that I've got colours and finishes ideas forming, I JUST WANT THE NEW HOUSE TO START!

June 23: We seem to have a baby that is super-inquisitive. If she sees us doing something, odds on she'll pipe up that she wants a look-see. She got more than she bargained for today - a cooking lesson with Gavstar!

June 24: Ooooh, when Mindy saw baby getting a bottle, she wanted one too!

June 24: Taken for a friend in America who sent this puppy over.

June 25: When good beaurocracy turns bad... Despite us advising council that we'll be knocking out the old footpath and driveway soon, they still sent workers to repair a piece of the footpath outside our place. When Boy Wonderful found out, he quietly snuck outside with a pair of chopsticks... then tried to blame it on his little sister...

June 26: Speaking of vandals... Blaze dug a huge hold next to our driveway today. Bigger than normal... must up my daily walking to give him more exercise.

June 27: I'm back at the farm, and will be here for three weeks for the school holidays. BW and I set ourselves up on Wii Fit. Plan is to use it every day for 21 days and see how effective it is.

It appears we are obsessed with baby. Most of the photos are of her. Well, as a new mum I reserve the right to be goo-gaa over this Little Star ;-)

This week I have learned:

* Once you've got me choosing house colours be prepared to lock-in a demolition date;
* It's never too young to introduce children to cooking;
* Puppies get jealous too;
* But mostly puppies make you giggle;
* Beware of big brothers bearing chopsticks near wet cement;
* Beware of bored dogs and soft soil;
* Treat exercise like a second job to get great rewards
