July 27 - August 2

2008.07.27
July 27: Five months and a bit, and first time in a high chair.

July 28: After a weekend of running ragged around the farm, we had a back seat full of sleeping children on our way back to Perth.

July 29: We took our American in-laws to C Restaurant to show them the lights of Perth. Sadly, the service was so bad they almost fell asleep waiting for the main course to be served. They perked up again when the camera came out though.

July 30: Gavstar remembers climbing this tower when he was a boy. He led the convoy of tourists and guides here today, to the DNA Tower in Kings Park, to see who was mad enough to brave the chill to climb it.

July 31: Her first proper attempt at a bowl of rice cereal. If faces have language, this one's saying, "what the...?"

August 1: Happy birthday horses, here's a rainbow I made for you.

August 2: Gavstar took the 150 for a spin but forgot that he would be landing in a paddock of cow sh**. Only took him an hour to clean it ;-)

.
We're back into the rhythm of traveling between city and country, this time taking one of Boy Wonderful's friends with us. We also welcomed our American in-laws to Australia, discovered parts of Perth I didn't know existed, and began the Little Star on solids.

This week I have learned:

* With enough padding and duct tape, baby can sit almost anywhere
* Run boys ragged and they'll give you some peace in the car
* Pull out a camera and watch the faces get pulled
* There lies a secret around every corner
* Humans aren't naturally inclined towards solid food, to start with anyway
* Rainbows can happen anytime, anywhere
* If you're going to fly, don't land in mud

xx

TheCrazyCroat Look at little Star! She's getting so big and even cuter. How is that possible?
