Sept 15: We're getting into the habit of feeding the Little Star some toast when she gets up in the mornings. It took her a little while to realise it's actually food, not a toy.

Sept 16: At the Conscious Living expo last week, I found a waterwheel made of solid marble and granite. I fell in love with it - it would be the perfect feature for our new backyard! Anyhoo, while out walking today, I found another water feature, for less than $1000. I rang Gavstar and told him I'd just saved him $12,000... needless to say he thinks I'm the BEST!

Sept 19: Some mornings I walk our gorgeous little neighbour to school. She has started coming earlier than normal so that she can help out with the Little Star - the baby is better than a doll because this one giggles for real!

Sept 20: Gavstar and I went for an 8km walk today. We came across this bench seat placed at a peculiar angle. I was reminded of our au pair from last year, who loved taking photos of bench seats and the views behind them. I took this photo in honour of her.

Everything we've been doing this week seems to be another "brick in the wall" (in a good way). Each step we take is another step closer to our goal of a new eco-friendly, solar-passive home... so why does it feel as though we're crawling on glass through the desert?! ;-)
This week I learned such things as:
* boys *like* being destructive;
* babies loooooove food;
* when you tell your husband you've found a water feature for $13,000, he's gonna love it when you tell him you've found another one (that's just as good) for less than $1000;
* only drink one glass of champagne if you're out of practice;
* raise a child to be adventurous with food, and they'll have wide horizons;
* girls are never too old for dolls;
* the view looks good from any angle.
