Sept 21 - Sept 27: Burn it burn it

2008.09.21
Sept 21: What does a family do when all the restaurants have closed by 2pm? They go to the pub!

Sept 22: Seeing as it's Spring Equinox here in the southern hemisphere, I wanted to commemorate the Little Star's middle name - the goddess of dawn / new beginnings and Spring. The closest thing I could find was a giant garden ornament, which I sat the Little Star on and said "now you're sitting in the palm of god/dess." She seemed pretty happy with that, giving the Big Thumb a high five.

Sept 23: There's something sexy about a man pushing a pram...

Sept 24: Had to ring the Kings Park Information Centre to find out where the top of Jacob's Ladder is... the Information Lady didn't know. Claimed she had never even been to Kings Park, but yes, I had the right number. Eventually found the stairway at the top of Cliff St (before the entrance to Kings Park). Had a lovely walk home and even got my first patch of sunburn for the season.

Sept 25: Spring is definitely here!

Sept 26: "Alrighty, you've been carried and coddled for way too long, I said to the Little Star. "It's time you learned how to sit." So, she did!

Sept 27: It's the Annual Bonfire Bash again! This time we got rid of the old caravan that had been abandoned in Gavstar's driveway since before I knew him. It was very spectacular.

.
Stepped up the exercise program this week with a couple of long walks, such as --

-- from home to the Bell Tower and home again (approx 11km)
-- from Kings Park to home (approx 6km)
-- around and about (approx sore calves)

Learned such things as:

* Perth people are NOT foodies - couldn't find a restaurant open after 2pm on a Sunday afternoon in Perth city!
* God/dess is everywhere
* Walking is healthy for the body AND mind... to quote me (!), "I think positively in order to improve my physical health. For my mental health, I walk."
* Spring is here!
* Baby doesn't sit unless mama lets her practice ;-)
* Caravans go like the clappers on a bonfire.
