Oct 5 - 11: Life continues to deliver

2008.10.05
Oct 5: I look at this view all the time out of my kitchen window... today though, watching the three kids walking the dog to the dam was just that extra special.

Oct 6: In between rain showers and odd jobs today, managed to get the kids to super golf for a quick 18 holes.

Oct 7: The paperwork arrived! I'm officially a celebrant! I'm officially a marvellous celebrant! I'm officially a wonderful celebrant! I'm officially a magical celebrant! I'm officially a sincere celebrant! I'm officially a clever celebrant! I'm officially a magnificent celebrant! I'm officially a sensational celebrant! I'm officially an amazing celebrant! I'm officially a fabulous celebrant! I'm officially a sparkly celebrant! I'm officially an uber cool celebrant! I'm officially a very happy celebrant! I'm officially a proud celebrant! I'm officially an empathetic celebrant! I'm officially a brilliant celebrant! I'm officially a celebrant!

Oct 8: Didn't recognise Perth as we drove back in today. With this sunset behind the marina it looks like a tropical island.

Oct 9: Only a 10km walk today while Boy Wonderful slogged it out at cricket training. Seeing a dolphin frolicking under the Narrows Bridge was a highlight, and yet another reminder to make calm my mantra.

Oct 10: A quick visit to Fremantle to buy the Gavstar some new jeans. Couldn't be bothered with the pram, so fashioned a baby carry pouch out of a scarf. She looked like a little koala...

Oct 11: Yeah so I've been exercising every day for the past two months in order to fit into my sparkly birthday dress. Couldn't resist celebrating early with my family with an evening meal in Margaret River. The kids thought it was sooooooo funny that mum is turning a "Big-Oh" tomorrow...

.
Had such an amazing week leading up to my 40th birthday! Miles of walking, lots of relaxing, loads of gratitude, one piece of exciting news, and a wonderful evening out with my family... This week I learned such things as:

* The slightest dash of colour can enliven any scenery;
* Things that we do or see everyday is another man's wonderland;
* Just as you think beaurocracy can't go any slower, along comes the paperwork one needs;
* A city can change countries depending on the light;
* Mother Nature has messages for us around every corner and under every bridge;
* If necessity is the mother of invention, make-believe must be the mother of Maguiver;
* 14 years is a GREAT age gap between kids, lol.
