Jan 22: Boy Wonderful was happy to be reunited with his youngest sister, so much so he braved the windy conditions at Gracetown to take the Little Star into the water. I thought this might be the day she decided to like the beach, but sadly, nooooooooo. Not yet.

Jan 24: Tried the Little Star on vegemite today... considering she normally gets food EVERYWHERE I thought she did really well with only two little smears.

Jan 25: Trekked down to Fremantle this beautiful evening to see Glen Hansard (the Swell Season). Had a gloriously relaxing prelude to the concert on the grass with a bottle of wine and lots of laughs. Friend Matti took a photo of me taking a photo of the Gavstar. (I wanted a profile pic for my iPhone.) It was just one moment of magic in a very magical evening.

Jan 26: This is as close as we got to the Australia Day fireworks this evening... Gavstar got a phone call from a kindly neighbour who had found Blaze in his backyard. Blaze evidently escaped when the fireworks started and happenchanced upon the neighbour just as the neighbour was stepping out to enjoy the fireworks himself. I wish this neighbour 1000x karma points for giving up his chance to see the spectacular display for the sake of our dog's well-being.

I had one glorious day with my two children (two children, two children, two children... for so long I thought I'd only be having the one, I still get a thrill saying "the children"!), before heading back to Perth for the rest of summer.
Now that I've finished my latest book, I'm determined to enjoy this summer in Perth and get out and about a bit more. "PLAY" is my mantra.
I'm so in love with my life, I get teary just thinking about it. I have two healthy children (!!), a gorgeous man who loves me, some challenges to keep us grounded, and every day is different to the last.
