March 13 - 17: My 2nd wedding + WTF?
2009.03.13
March 13: Arrived at the farm this afternoon and the Little Star wasted no time in exploring the new toy opportunities. The more mobile she gets the more she can reach... today she was able to reach a John Lennon cassette tape that I made for myself in 1986. To think, it survived countless house moves, beyond-countless plays on my walkman, and years of dust collection, but it couldn't survive 30 seconds with a curious baby. Thought I would blog this photo today because of the synchronicity that the LS destroyed THIS particular tape the same day I got a "follow" from Yoko Ono on twitter. What's the message? PEACE!

March 15: Headed to Bunbury for the day to revitalise my garden ready for the house's first home open next Saturday. This is what 8m3 of topsoil looks like. And my body language is what "groooaaaan" looks like ;-)

March 16: Gavstar arrived home safely from his Nullarbor trip today, with a present from the brother-in-law... My question was, and remains to be, "What is it?"

March 17: Thought we'd go into the city for a mosy and peek at what the Irish might be up to today. The craziest fun we had involved a revolving door and crazy mirrors.

It has been four or five months or so since I received my authorisation to be a civil marriage celebrant, and the bookings are starting to flow in. However, one thing I've learned about this occupation is that the lead times are looooong, so while I'm getting lots of bookings the busy-ness won't kick in until later this year. Nevertheless, I can count myself lucky that already I've got two weddings under my belt – the 2nd one happened this week and was absolutely stunning. Beautiful couple, beautiful setting, beautiful service... I enjoyed every minute. So grateful this profession is working out for me :-)
When I first started this project, back in May 2007, I had no idea that my first year of "Daily Blissings" would end up encompassing "four weddings and a baby"... How funny would it be if the second year of this project also encompasses "four weddings" - not weddings that I'm attending but weddings that I'm conducting.
I do have a 3rd wedding booked for May 17 this year, but I'm wondering if the Universe has a 4th wedding in store for me to conduct before May 25th - the 2nd anniversary of this project. I'll put that thought out there, and see how the Universe responds. Stay tuned :-)
