March 23 - 27: Caught in the act
2009.03.23
March 23: I must have snapped 100 shots of the Little Star and her tootest little pigtails. This shot tickled me in particular - it's as though she's practising her "Princess Twasntme" face for when she grows older.

March 24: This hole in the ground has been our view from the kitchen window for around three months now. Each day a new piece of buried debri reveals itself to give us a hint of what the land may have been used for prior to suburbia. A few weeks ago a bone surfaced - only freaked me out a little bit - but today a second one emerged... they are too big to be soup bones, too pristine to be chewed-up dog bones, too scary to investigate.

March 25: The wireless router had a brain-fart this evening but I couldn't stop what I was doing. With The Goddess DIET only a matter of weeks away from going to the printer, I had to be flexible in my approach to continuing work. Flexible, literally... sitting on the hardwood floor was perhaps the biggest challenge.

March 26: I must have done some real damage in the garden last week - I've a twisted right knee, a sprained left ankle and both feet get periodic cramping in the toes. Thinking of changing my motto to Born to shine, built to recline. As long as I was going to spend the day horizontal, decided to do it at Boy Wonderful's cricket match this afternoon. That's him in crouch position. A wicket-keeper like his dad. Same style and everything. Scary how things like "running style" can be inherited.

March 27: This man, who we've nicknamed Bike Boy, rides past the intersection of Canning Highway and Douglas Ave every morning between 8.10 and 8.20. What makes him really annoying is the way he pushes the pedestrian button at the lights, EVERY SINGLE TIME he rides past, which in turn prevents the Douglas Ave lights turning green which in turns causes an infuriating traffic bank-up down the avenue. My excitement at finally catching this dude on camera is evident by the fogged up windscreen in this photo ;-)

---------------
The title of this batch is "Caught in the Act" – it has so many implications and is applicable to every entry this week:
* The Little Star was caught practising her "Twasntme" face;
* Caught another bone emerging from the depths of the building site next door;
* I was caught doing desperate measures to feed my facebook addiction;
* Boy Wonderful took many catches in the Lord Taverner's cricket semi-final;
* After two years, I finally caught Bike Boy on camera. Not in the act, but at least now I have an image to give to the police.
