March 28 - April 1: New, funny, wow, hmmm, ha ha
2009.03.28
March 28: As long as we're living in the city during term-time, we're continuing to turn it into an adventure for as long as we're here. Today we explored the Applecross area, and following our noses and a wee bit of advice from Matina, found the Heathcote Blue Waters playground and kiosk. Wooooowwwwww. How does one know these places exist? If we hadn't set out exploring we'd never have known about this place. The question goes begging: how many more sensational recreational areas lie hidden around Perth?

March 29: Still adventuring, took the brave step of trying to find a decent Yum Cha in Perth. Yes I've been spoilt having lived in Melbourne and Sydney, but I remain open to the possibility of finding something that comes halfway close to the fabulous experiences offered in these cities. We were reasonably successful in William St Northbridge, but overshadowing this enjoyable breakfast was the shenanigans of Boy Wonderful during our post-breakfast waddle. He twisted his jeans around so that from the front it appeared as though he had just one leg. (Does this mean he's wearing a blue jean?) Oh my golly I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself.

April 1: Naughty Blaze played a trick on me this morning. He chewed up the punnets of seedlings I had by the back door. I was planning to use them to replace the old camellias that didn't survive the summer heat. It was a case of "plant now, tend later" as I tried to rescue the poor woe-begone little suckers. The Little Star didn't mind the panic - she thought it was wonderful being plonked upon dead lawn and peppi leaves while mummy uprooted dead camellias and planted tiny malalucas.

"New, funny, wow, hmmm, ha ha"... no, not the Little Star's vocabulary, but words to describe this week's happenings.
