April 27: Mikey gave Gavstar a 15-minute flight in a chopper as a birthday gift. The Fairy Godfather and I were lucky enough to score the spare seats in the flight, and even though I was feeling a bit seedy I was not about to let this opportunity slip by. This is the view from our farm to the sea.

April 28: Boy Wonderful and The Fairy Godfather spent the weekend giving each other challenges - the loser had to be the other's slave for the pre-nominated time. BW lost his challenges over and over, but finally, the over-confident FG bet that the winner of the Biggest Loser would be Y when in fact it was X. BW milked the chance to have a slave, and made him work very hard for his five minutes. Reminded me of when my brothers used to do this to each other - we never had any money so our only commodity was time and elbow-grease.

April 29: We bought this clock during our last trip to San Francisco. It's almost a year-to-the-day since we hung it on this wall in our kitchen, but in all that time we've never seen the big hand AND the little hand in the 12 o'clock position. Today was BINGO

April 30: Oh what a bittersweet walk this was... our last one on the farm for a few weeks at least.

Seemed to be a week for a few dreams coming true, no matter how wild or meek.
* Gavstar, the Fairy Godfather and I got our first rides in a helicopter;
* Boy Wonderful got a glimpse what it would be to have a brother;
* After more than a year of watching our Mona Lisa clock, I finally caught it at exactly noon;
* Not that this moment was long-awaited - more like long-avoided - our three-week hiatus at the farm has come to an end, and it's time to head back to Perth;
* Watching my daughter and her father playing was a beautiful moment. No gadgets, toys, distractions... just two people having a grand old time on the lawn.
