May 2: Conducted my third wedding today. Even learned the Italian words for "husband and wife" so that I could let the Italian parents know when their darling boy had made the transition from son to husband.

May 3: My brave little girl got three needles today. Barely a whimper from her, while I had to wait outside for fear of passing out. The nurses threatened to give me a smiley face sticker to cheer me up.
