May 9: How much fun do we have on our daily loop: up and down the driveway, then out to the hanger and back. Having Blaze following us, I'm always yelling out, "stay with us Blaze, come back Blaze, Blaze, stay left!" Today the Little Star began barking orders too: "na an omma ug Base!"

May 10: After a lovely mother's day lunch with Marian and my sisters-in-law, we went an extra distance today on the bike to work it off. The clouds were particularly stunning today. We also created a joke-du-jour when Boy Wonderful cooked me bacon for breakfast... As the swine flu is in the news currently, the joke was that I must have swine flu because I woke up with rashers, ha ha.

May 10: After a lovely mother's day lunch with Marian and my sisters-in-law, we went an extra distance today on the bike to work it off. The clouds were particularly stunning today. We also created a joke-du-jour when Boy Wonderful cooked me bacon for breakfast... As the swine flu is in the news currently, the joke was that I must have swine flu because I woke up with rashers, ha ha.

May 11: This photo was actually taken on the 12th but it was because of what happened on the 11th... Boy Wonderful made the early morning dash back to Perth so he wouldn't miss too much school. On the way, we noticed how many elderly people were out and about - in their cars (clogging up the 110km zones, mind you, grrrrrr), on their crazy bikes, walking in random circles... It was incredible that 98 out of 100 cars we passed were being driven by an elderly person. Bit freaky actually. Monday morning must be the time for them to escape their houses?

This is definitely my favourite time of year, when the weather is mild, the colour palette of nature is at its most beautiful, and mothers are recognised for the wonderful work we do ;-)
